The hidden war ends (2028 to 2032)‍ ‍

DATELINE 2030 – For the ten years up to the mid-2020s it was difficult to say anything clear about the future because it was shrouded in the fog of war. An undeclared covert war was being waged, not between nations but between powerful transnational factions operating within nations behind the scenes. Like a plot out of Ian Fleming or John le Carré, it involved a coordinated international push against a shadowy oligarchy which had enormous power. The result was something between a global civil war and global regime change – a hidden war of transition from the old world to the new. It was a war on multiple system fronts, including information war, which made interpretation and commentary difficult.

As the war draws to a close and the fog clears an entirely new landscape is coming into view. The old power system has been swept away by a complex and far-reaching strategy that destroyed the previous machinery of control. The old methods of wielding power no longer work and new forms of genuinely democratic power are taking their place.

The crucial pivot between the old system and the new is the switch-on of the new digital money system to replace the old financial system. The old system was overextended and heading for a terminal crisis despite the best efforts of its custodians to stave it off for as long as possible. The onset of crisis provided the moment for the switch over to the new system, prepared far in advance.

Power in the old system was wielded by means of debt creation using fiat money. The scale of the debt and its legal enforcement created a power hierarchy that made leaders of companies and countries beholden to the servicing of debt. The introduction of the new digital financial system removes that source of power. It combines asset-backed currencies with digital token issuance and on-chain ledgers, with regulation and instant oversight by AIs that are benign by design. This creates a secure and fair system that serves as the foundation of the new society.

Once this key turned in the lock of history, it released a flood of beneficial transformative change.
